PASSPORTS, VISAS, WILLS AND TEARS

ONE MORE SLEEP.ARGHHH

greetings from cottage point as we share ourselves around before the departing... jon has us setting off to last minute visiting with friends while I contemplate my death and how i'd like to be desposed of.

much to my digust we have done our wills today and while we sat discussing who would look after our children and what we would give to whom... we realised, quite frankly, and in a ball of hysterics, we actually have nothing to give... and so we begin our journey to enlightenment.

we spent last night out at BLACKTOWN with my nana and pop (with an impromtu visit with my cousin HEATH, AMANDA, ZIG ZIG AND LILLYBELLE )and had a great night and welcomed catch up. In the morning I received a phone call from my cousin HOLLIE wishing us well and safe travels when it suddenly hit me... that we were indeed going and with the exception of picking up the visas and passports, we had completed all the neccessary tasks before our journey begins......i suddenly began to weep.

We have not been able to have catch ups with all our beloveds' before heading off in one short sleep, while our minds have been consumed with getting things sent and collected, cleaned and dissected; we have forgotten the most important and have neglected those CLOSE TO OUR HEARTS.

WE LOVE YOU DEARLY AND WILL MISS YOU UNFATHOMABLY!!

AND SO, WITH A STIFF UPPER LIP......love, love, love

from the boys and banksia

P.S Please remember to sign your name at the end of the comment.... otherwise we can't tell whose making us cry!!

A sigh of relief!

HELLO, WELCOME AND BON VOYAGE!

This is our first ever blog. In my dream to stay as uncontactable as possible I have set up this device as a means to an ends of technlogical distraction, so welcome.

We begun our journey into the abys ohhhh? 3 weeks ago... since then time has flown, we have finished a few months worth of renos within a few days, organised tickets...insurance....visas' passports and birth certificates.

we have learnt how to become landlords, property managers, lock smiths, guarantors, painters, renovators, travel agents, insurance brokers, cleaners, driver's, movers, visa officials, translators and speed hearer's (yes speed hearer's gosh they speak fast) ............ all within the last week.

Luckily so it seems the gods.... all of them.... have been with us and giving us a helping hand to be on our much awaited holiday away from the distractions of modern life, work, renos, phones, tvs, computers, dvds and did i say phones?

I am to be thanking the swift hands of THE GODS along with the swift hands of MANIC MAN, and the strong hands of OUR BELOVED FAMILYfor getting the house finished and cleaned so we can leave it in the ... hopefully grateful hands of it's new tenants.

We have been preparing ourselves with weird australian/ melbourne made illustrated stories of the legends namely RAMA AND SHIVA... documentaries by an enthusisastic Michael Woods, reading lonely planet, consulting with well travelled friends .....But only within the last few days so mainly we head into the abys blindly and wide eyed to welcome everything in our path.

we only have to visit family and friends pack our bags and get to the airport on time.... which seems simple however even that provides a challenge for the boys and banksia.

And so with 3 more sleeps we breathe a sigh of relief as we have only to contemplate the contemplation of meditation in the hills, begars in the streets, budah tree in the East and the Dalai Lama in the West.

A CIRCLE, A JOURNEY, A PLACE AND SOME PEACE AMONGST THE RUSHING STREETS.
